Enclosed here are 3 photos which I hope you can use, the first 2 are of Hapuka, the bigger being 16kg's, the smaller going 14 kg's.
The last one is a trumpeter, they were all caught out from a place called Tolaga Bay which is situated 51k's north of Gisborne New Zealand (North Island), I'm an ex pat aussie living here for the past 4 years.
The fishing here is pretty good, with snapper available, jackass morwong( very tasty, has the same popularity here as the kg whiting in adelaide), hapuka, 3 species of marlin during summer along with yellowfin tuna skipjack tuna and albacore.
If you ever get the chance come over here and experience it for yourself. There are quite a few charter boats starting at NZ$100 per day, depending on what you are chasing. Oh yeah and there are kingies for miles all year round, and not one of them is fussy either, they'll take jigs livies anything,
Sincerely John West
