There are schools or various sized Garfish on most grounds off Glenelg - just use some berley to attract them. Whiting are harder to find and seem to be in small pods that move on quickly once a few are caught. The best spots were around the Seacliff Reef / Brighton areas (see plots) where there is heaps of Squid also. |
GPS Plots provided .........
Just before the Snapper ban, there were good fish 6 - 8 kgs caught on the reefs wide of Glenelg, on the Norma wreck and some monsters on the edge of the shipping channel on the afternoon and morning run in tides.

The Grange Tyre reef has trillions of Med, to large Slimy Macs that have been great fun on light line, some Whiting and undersized Snapper.
