  FSA Shame File

Various regulations within the Fisheries Act exist to ensure that all South Australians are able to better manage, utilize and enjoy their existing fish stocks, water ways and oceans.

Some rules, at times, may appear to be draconian, but by and large, most are enacted with the intent of ensuring that South Australians have a sustainable fishing environment, whether it be recreational or otherwise, for years to come.

Unfortunately, a few of us do knowingly breach the law, at the expense of others, our existing resources and the environment.

FSA is a strong advocate towards putting your name up in lights, and in giving you all the recognition and attention that is due, to whomever deserves it.

To this end, the FSA Shame File is now online.

Simply put, if you have committed and been convicted of an offense or infringement that contravenes the laws and regulations governing Commercial & Recreational Fishing in South Australia, then you can read about yourself right here, at the  FSA Shame File.

The FSA Shame File also tries to highlight the pro-active approach and work being accomplished by PIRSA in detering illegal fishing activities, and to promote a sense of awareness towards the rules that govern Recreational and Commercial fishing in South Australia.

Let us hope that this particular FSA Page does not see too many entries.
